MA News Journalism – Cardiff University
Our intense course teaches all the skills you need to secure that first job as a multimedia journalist. Our alumni work across a range of jobs with regional and national news organisations, broadcasters and specialist outlets. University modules include data journalism, with sport, politics, investigations, and environment and science as options.
Students learn by doing. You will be allocated a patch in Cardiff to cover for our news site, The Cardiffian.
We teach to the NCTJ gold standard diploma, which includes shorthand, public affairs and court reporting. Students who are unable to take shorthand are offered editing skills for journalists, data journalism and videojournalism for digital platforms.
