Masterclass - Journalists of all backgrounds and experiences will benefit from the learnings in the course, which combines up-to-date information with practical guidance.
How is artificial intelligence being used in newsrooms and other publishing environments?
How will AI affect the skills required to be a journalist or content creator?
This masterclass is a practical session which will demonstrate how AI technology works and will explain existing and developing tools that are being adopted by media organisations across the UK.
Alongside practical demonstrations, the course will include the latest research and theories around AI, including clarity around the meanings and definitions of AI.
It has been designed to appeal to a broad range of roles in the media – and will be relevant to all content creators and publishers as well as journalists.
The course includes the following:
- Explanation of AI including background and history
- Examples of how different media organisations are embedding AI
- Impact on the role of the journalist – now and in the future
- Practical tips to transfer to your day-to-day role
