The essentials of media law

E-learning - this course is designed for anyone who wants a broad introduction to media law, and professional journalists.

Keeping up to date with media law, ethics and regulation is essential for working journalists or anyone publishing content as part of their job.

This short e-learning course is ideal for those looking to refresh their knowledge, and also for those who need any introduction to media law.

At the end of the course, you will have a better understanding of media law, ethics and regulation, and be able to recognise the opportunities and risks presented to journalists by English media law, regulations and codes of ethics.

This course is delivered via the NCTJ’s Journalism Skills Academy. It will take around 20 hours to complete in total. You can start any time and work at your own pace.
