Journalists at Work 2024

The new edition of Journalists at Work will be discussed at a special NCTJ event.

The new edition of Journalists at Work will be discussed at a special NCTJ event, kindly hosted by Reuters on 26 September 2024.

Journalists at Work is independent research commissioned by the NCTJ periodically to provide valuable information and analysis about the characteristics and views of journalists working in the UK.

The report is based on the results of a survey of more than 1,000 journalists about their conditions, training, recruitment, qualifications, and career development.

New topics explored in this edition include safety and well-being, the use of artificial intelligence, and working from home.

As it is Kim Fletcher’s final event as our chairman, we will be celebrating his outstanding contribution to the charity over two decades, and introducing Sue Brooks, our chair designate. Sue will be moderating a discussion about the research findings with some of our ambassadors and the audience.

Attendance is by invitation only. If you would like to attend, please contact Sarah Rix, head of marketing and communications at sarah.rix@nctj.com.
