Trainees start at £24,024 and Seniors start at £32,760 + company benefits 

Starting salary (London) – Trainees start at £27,846 and Seniors start at £36,582

The role is hub  based, so you will be required to work up to 3 days from any of our hubs; Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Manchester or Newcastle.

This autumn we are expanding the Content Hub with a new team which will be deployed on breaking stories and trends across our portfolio – you could be writing for the Mirror one day and the Manchester Evening News the next. We are on the lookout for talented Audience Writers to help us connect with communities in meaningful ways. As an Audience Writer on the General Assignments team, you’ll play a pivotal role in crafting engaging and informative content tailored to specific audiences.. Your work will be instrumental in helping brands resonate with their audience/communities, driving engagement and delivering results.

Job Description

What will the role involve?

As an Audience Writer, you will be expected to manage and deliver a consistent schedule of high-quality articles about the topics that our audiences tell us is most important to them, backed up by data. You will develop compelling articles, blog posts, social media content and newsletters. Part of the role will be to conduct research using data to understand the demographics, interests and behaviours of our target audiences. You will regularly use AI as a tool to enhance content creation, delivering engaging articles that really resonate with the audience. Ensuring content is visually appealing and optimised for websites, social media channels and email campaigns will be a key focus of the role.

Who are we looking for?

To be a successful Audience Writer at Reach, you will need to have excellent writing and communication skills and a passion for the sector. You will ideally have experience in content writing with a strong understanding of audiences and social media platforms. We are looking for people with creativity, great attention to detail and adaptability. It’s important to note that to succeed in this role, you must be comfortable working to targets and deadlines.

As a member of the General Assignments team, the successful candidate must be available to work at short notice, and comfortable with accommodating last-minute requests as needed to support business needs.
