The Express & Star is looking for a Business Editor to drive coverage across the Black Country, Staffordshire and Worcestershire.

The right candidate must be bursting with ideas on how to develop lively news coverage and features that will inform those involved in business but also entertain our wider readership through words, pictures and video.

You must be able to forge relationships with business leaders and become a respected and expert voice on the subject, with the ability to lead discussions and drive news agendas..

You will also be part of the team helping to organise our hugely successful Express & Star Business Awards and will cooperate with colleagues in developing our online presence as well as exploring commercial opportunities through our specialist supplements and print publications.

The Express & Star is a champion of business and is also a partner in the Ladder programme to promote apprenticeships in the Black Country and Staffordshire. We are always looking to forge new relationships to cement our position as front and centre for business coverage.

You will be based at our head office in Wolverhampton, but we do offer the flexibility of some home working.
