The Reuters Commentary team is looking for a commentary producer with excellent project management skills, strong digital acumen, a writing background, and a passion for financial markets. This is an opportunity to help develop and expand the financial commentary platform of one of the world’s leading news organizations.

The commentary team seeks to produce thought-provoking, engaging, analytical columns that will influence capital allocators, traders, and other financial professionals operating around the globe. Our goal is to provide useful, original insights rooted in data and rigorous analysis. We maintain the highest standards for independence and accuracy, in keeping with Reuters’ TRUST principles.

About the Role

As a Commentary Producer for Reuters Commentary, you will:

  • Support the Editor-in-Charge with the management and development of the commentary platform.
  • Liaise with multiple Reuters departments to ensure that the production and distribution of commentary flows smoothly.
  • Provide editorial support to regular columnists and outside contributors.
  • Oversee data dashboards to monitor trends in audience engagement.
  • Assist with the sourcing and management of outside contributors.
  • Support columnists with the creation of charts, tables, and other graphics as well as newsletters.
  • Provide competitive analysis and conduct research on topics, trends, themes, asset classes, etc., where we’re seeking to expand coverage.
  • Help to organize events, videos, and podcasts with other Reuters departments and outside parties.

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Commentary Producer for Reuters Commentary, if you have:

  • Exceptional project management skills, a strong work ethic, and a keen attention to detail.
  • Experience of working within a news or media organization.
  • A writing background and strong editing skills.
  • A solid understanding of data analysis and data visualization, or a desire to learn.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and creative problem-solving skills.
  • An interest in markets, finance, and/or economics.
