Content Uploader – National News (London)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our dynamic digital news team, uploading and updating news content for a wide range of our brands including but not limited to the Mirror, the Daily Express, the Daily Star and OK! Online. You will be immersed in national news and will play a key role in ensuring our content is up to date, engaging and accurate.

This role is home and hub based linked to our Canary Wharf Hub in London. We are therefore open to candidates based in and around London.

What will the role involve?

Working alongside our news teams, you will upload, amend and develop stories, with great pictures and engaging videos for our various national news brands. You will upload affiliates related content to help generate revenue, managing all content on various CMS platforms. You will be fully trained to recognise and fix content issues swiftly, manage content migration and image editing.

You will reimagine and upload content traditionally seen in our print news offerings, including regular columns, to broaden the reach of our content. You will work closely with reporters and editors to ensure all copy is legally sound and meets IPSO guidelines and the Reach standards

Who are we looking for?

You are passionate about journalism, ideally with an NCTJ diploma or equivalent journalism degree. You have an excellent news sense and ideally have an understanding of how to upload digital news content. 

You are a team player and excellent multi-tasker, who is able to manage your workload efficiently whilst keeping on top of the latest developing stories. You are looking to take the first step in your journalistic career and want to learn the inner workings of a newsroom.
