About the Role

As a Copy Editor you will:

  • Apply AP Style and the company’s ethical guidelines in editing news stories and other current awareness content.
  • Ensure our subscribers receive timely, relevant, high-quality stories that are free from errors and legal risks.
  • Work as part of team of writers and editors to move stories rapidly to subscribers.
  • Develop strong working relationships with various levels of writers, editors, and other stakeholders.

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Copy Editor if your background includes:

  • Excellent English language writing ability.
  • Excellent grammar skills.
  • At least 2 years news editing experience. AP style required.
  • Strong awareness of libel and other legal risks.
  • Good news judgment and ability to prioritize stories and deadlines.
  • Ability to provide and receive story-specific and general feedback.
  • B.A. in journalism, English, or another related field; or equivalent experience.
