Your role: talkSPORT, in partnership with urbanmedia, is seeking a creative content producer to take on a new role in creating and curating new sports content for Irish audiences under the talkSPORT brand. As Ireland Editor, you will be responsible for developing and producing high-quality sports video, podcast and written content. You will be based in Dublin but work closely with the talkSPORT editorial team in London as well as our local radio teams and newsrooms across Ireland to deliver content that resonates with Irish audiences and embodies talkSPORT’s unique editorial and brand values across a range of sports including football, rugby and GAA. You will report to the Head of Digital Ireland.

 

Day to day you will:

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, news and developments in Irish sports to provide accurate and insightful coverage across all talkSPORT platforms in Ireland
  • Lead on the development of sponsorable podcast and video series which provide a unique talkSPORT take on the biggest sporting events from an Irish perspective
  • Develop a strategy to cover unique Irish sports such as gaelic football and hurling
  • Collaborate with hosts and content creators to develop engaging show concepts, formats, and episode ideas
  • Manage recording sessions, providing guidance to hosts and guests to ensure high-quality shoots and recordings
  • Edit and mix content using industry-standard software, maintaining high production values and adhering to deadlines
  • Work with our digital, insight and editorial team to ensure effective distribution of our content across relevant platforms
  • Ensure all content meets talkSPORT’s editorial standards, brand values and tone of voice
  • Work with data, insights, SEO and audience teams to optimise content creation and publication to captivate and engage with local audiences
  • Lead on brainstorming sessions and offer creative ideas for new commercial and content initiatives

 

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Proven experience in sports content creation
  • Extensive knowledge of and passion for International and Irish sport
  • Experience in podcast and video production, with a proven track record of producing successful shows
  • Experience in using audio and video editing software to a professional standard would be desirable
  • Excellent communication and ability to create engaging relevant content
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external partners
