Producer, Sponsored Content – Financial Times (New York)

The Role / Position Overview

The FT Specialist US sponsored content team transforms partner ideas into award-winning content. We’re looking for a producer to help expand our capabilities and collaborate with partners on impactful programs that generate awareness and leads.

Advertisers now rely on publishers like us to create content that grabs attention. Our job is to take sponsors’ ideas, leverage our audience expertise, and develop content that speaks to key executives and decision-makers.

The producer will assist with writing, reporting, editing, and managing various parts of the sponsored content process. The ideal candidate will enjoy diving into the nuances of asset management and insurance, understanding the differences between audiences.

What You Bring

You don’t need experience in sponsored content, advertising, or financial services—just a desire to learn. If you bring creative energy and an interest in editorial, advertising, marketing, and project management, we’ll teach you the rest.

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills are essential. You should be proactive and always thinking about “what’s next.”

The role involves balancing slower periods with busy ones. Some projects will focus on content creation, others on production management. You’ll need to be flexible, comfortable managing multiple projects, and ready to both lead and assist as needed.

Required Skills / Experience

  • A background in journalism or a related field is preferred, but not essential.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and proactively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to write or produce content for different types of audiences.
  • A high personal standard of excellence and pride in the work you do.
  • Curiosity and a desire to learn. Flexibility and creativity.
  • Strong organizational skills, consistent approach and attention to detail.

To apply, please submit a resume and cover letter explaining why you’d be a good fit for the position.
