Your role: The Sunday Times Ireland is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Reporter to join our newsroom. You will have a proven track record of breaking significant stories, a deep understanding of the Irish media landscape, and the ability to produce compelling content across multiple platforms.

 

Day to day you will:

  • Investigate and report on a wide range of topics, delivering impactful and original stories.
  • Develop and maintain a network of sources to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Work closely with editors and other reporters to coordinate coverage and ensure the highest journalistic standards.
  • Produce high-quality written content for print and digital platforms, including breaking news, in-depth features, and analysis.
  • Adhere to ethical journalism practices and ensure all reporting is fair, accurate, and balanced.
  • Stay up-to-date with current events and trends to provide relevant and insightful coverage.
  • Mentor junior reporters and contribute to the overall growth and development of the newsroom.

 

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Experience in Journalism, Communication, or a related field.
  • Experience in a reporting role, preferably in a senior capacity.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong investigative skills and a commitment to uncovering the truth.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in digital journalism and familiarity with social media platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A robust portfolio of published work demonstrating a range of reporting and storytelling abilities.
