A former Journalism Diversity Fund bursary recipient has secured a place on an exclusive BBC training scheme.
University of Salford postgraduate Amber Haque was among 14 chosen to take part in this year’s scheme.
Thousands of people applied to the scheme and underwent a series of tests and interviews before being chosen.
She will now spend 11 months working in different departments at the corporation with a view to securing a permanent job.
Previous graduates of the scheme include newsreader Huw Edwards, Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine and The Office co-creator Stephen Merchant.
Amber, 23, from Manchester was one of three students from the University of Salford students to be awarded the coveted places on the training scheme.
