The NCTJ has joined forces with the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC) and the Periodicals Training Council (PTC) to help develop multi-media journalism training.

The NCTJ has joined forces with the Broadcast Journalism Training Council (BJTC) and the Periodicals Training Council (PTC) to help develop multi-media journalism training.

The joint council, facilitated by the Society of Editors, seeks to identify common areas of training that meet the needs of employers across different media.

The three training organisations have produced a draft list of requirements for accredited courses where multi-media journalism education and training is covered in course programmes.

Feedback on the proposals is being sought and the first stage of the consultation finishes on Friday, 6 March. A briefing on the consultation, including the draft list of requirements, can be seen here.
