NCTJ board re-accredits twenty one courses

The NCTJ’s board of directors has re-accredited 21 journalism courses at 14 centres and has not renewed accreditation of two courses at one centre.

The re-accredited courses continue to show a commitment to providing the gold standard qualification and delivering high-quality journalism training to students who have the talent and dedication to succeed in their journalism careers. Each was re-accredited for two years.

The directors agreed not to renew accreditation for the full-time (44-week) and part-time (24-week) newspaper journalism courses at Nosweat Journalism Training. As with all current students on previously accredited courses, students who have started these courses at Nosweat will continue to be supported by the NCTJ and have the opportunity to sit NCTJ exams.

The Accreditation Board, which oversees all NCTJ accreditation activities, has also been working on new projects to support NCTJ students and centres. These projects include providing tips and advice for researching courses and help with CV and cover letter writing that are now available to download from the NCTJ website.
