NCTJ student wins shorthand award
The top-performing NCTJ student at the University of Ulster was presented with a shorthand award by chancellor James Nesbitt on Tuesday 17 December.
The top-performing NCTJ student at the University of Ulster was presented with a shorthand award by chancellor James Nesbitt on Tuesday 17 December.
James Tait was presented with the Belfast Telegraph – Helen Scott Memorial Shorthand Trophy on achieving 100 per cent accuracy in his 100 wpm NCTJ shorthand exam. The award is in memory of a former shorthand teacher who died suddenly a few years ago.
James was presented his prize at the university’s winter graduation ceremony by the chancellor and Northern-Irish born actor, who is currently starring in the big-screen adaption of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit.
