Four panels of industry figures will interview the shortlisted candidates remotely on Friday, 16 July.
Bursaries are awarded to those who have a passion for journalism, financial need and can demonstrate how they will bring diversity to a newsroom.
Bursaries can help cover the costs of NCTJ course fees and/or expenses while studying.
The third application round of 2021 is now open.
