The five top performing NCTJ accredited courses 2011-12 were presented with awards following the gala dinner at the Journalism Skills Conference held at Nottingham Contemporary on 28 November.
David Rowell, head of editorial learning and development at Johnston Press and NCTJ Journalism Qualifications Board member, has been honoured with the 2012 NCTJ Chairman’s Award for his outstanding contribution to journalism training and education.
Tamara Siddiqui, a newly-qualified senior journalist from The News, Portsmouth, has won three out of four available awards for her outstanding performance in November’s NQJ exams.
