Shorthand exam sittings remained steady for the 2009/10 academic year. There were 4468 sittings at speeds of 60-120wpm in 2009/10 compared to 4424 the previous year.

Former NCTJ students presented with sports awards at Wembley

Three top NCTJ sports journalism students have been awarded prizes from NFL UK for their outstanding exam performance. The awards were presented during a media day for the upcoming American football international series at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday, 16 July.

Pass rate remains high for NCE

Sixty-two percent of the trainee reporters who sat the National Certificate Examination in November passed. The high pass rate is almost identical to that of the previous sitting.
