The NCTJ is an employer-led, industry charity for all media companies and organisations, editors, trainers, and aspiring and professional journalists.
We work closely with partners who believe in the importance of high quality trusted journalism that is accessible to all.
All strategic partners make a financial contribution to the NCTJ’s work. This may be via:
- A direct annual contribution to the charity, commensurate with the size of the media organisation
- Sponsorship of NCTJ events or services
- A commitment to use NCTJ training or skills development products
- A combination of the above
81 per cent of qualified journalists in the UK hold an NCTJ qualification, and we accredit Diploma in Journalism courses at colleges, universities and independent providers across the UK.
Via the Journalism Skills Academy, we offer qualifications through distance learning and a range of skills development resources for journalists throughout their careers.
Making journalism accessible to people from all backgrounds is at the heart of the NCTJ’s mission.
There are a number of benefits for partners, such as discounted rates on Journalism Skills Academy qualifications, courses and events, recognition in applicable NCTJ collateral, and briefings on key training trends, research findings and public policy issues.
