The NCTJ is a UK-wide charity, equipping thousands of aspiring and working journalists each year with the skills they need to uphold our values of quality, trust and diversity across the media sector.
NCTJ qualifications are proven to give students the best chance to succeed. Our Job Destinations 2023 research found 88 per cent of students from accredited courses who had achieved the NCTJ’s gold-standard Diploma in Journalism and were in employment within 15 months were working in the journalism industry, compared to just 28 per cent of working journalism graduates surveyed by HESA.
However, the NCTJ is an industry secret – and that’s something we need to change.
